To have a priest in a parish is to have Christ among the people since priests are trained to be another Christ.
Matuu parish Wendano is under Father Patrick Mutisya as Father in-charge and Fr. Ambrose Munyao as the assistant Fr.in-charge.

Through the two priests, the parish is moving faster towards the standards of the order parishes in terms of faith, unity and love. The daily morning mass at the parish ,every Thursday prayer day and seminars for different groups of the church, which has been attended a pleasing number of participants, has been making the parish to move higher and higher in terms of spiritual matters. The parish is enjoying the gift of vocation for having one ordained priest Fr. John Kitonyi, two seminarians, two missionary brothers and twelve professed sisters. Many couples are enjoying sacramental life along the parish, the priest are motivating many young men and women to respond to God’s call through their way preaching and prayer life.

About three hundred P.M.C children, animators and their patrons/matrons joined Fr.-in charge for a one day pilgrimage at Resurrection garden- Nairobi on 27th November; 2017.This was a sign of spiritual growth since the number was pleasing. A sign of unity was manifested where a promising number of youths participated in a youth party at the parish on 25th Dec 2017 which marked the summit of their Christmas joy. On 1st January, 2018, P.M.C children also gathered for their party at the parish ground. Many talents were discovered among the youths and the PM.C children who need to be natured to fruition.

The whole parish as one family converged for a vigil mass on 31st Dec 2017 at the parish many faithful participated. Unanimously they declared that they would be guided by the word of God which is the way, the truth and life itself as they crossed to the New Year 2018.

We give thanks to God and pray for more grace to continue growing higher and higher in terms of faith joy love and unity that we may please him as the youngest parish in our diocese. To God is glory forever.
